Wilkins Fastest in Second GTS Practice at Road America

ELKHART LAKE, Wis. ­­ Mark Wilkins, of Toronto, Ontario was fastest in Friday afternoon's 30­minute GTS practice session at the DeVilbiss Grand Prix at Road America presented by Cadillac.

Wilkins posted a mark of 2:17.831 in the No. 38 PutOnTheBrakes.Org Kinetic Motorsports/Kia Racing Kia Optima. The time was close to a second faster than Kurt Rezzetano's time of 2:18.696 in the Phoenixville/PA Calvert Dynamics/PhoenixPerf/Ford Mustang Boss 302.

In the afternoon session, Wilkins was followed by Jack Baldwin, of Marietta, Ga., in the No. 73 GTSport Racing Porsche Cayman, with a mark of 2:18.332. Ben Clucas of Northampton England was third fastest in the No. 36 DonorsChoose.org Kia Optima in 2:18.413.

Rounding out the top­five drivers were Nick Mancuso, of Libertyville, Ill., in 2:18.547 in the No. 46 Maserati GranTurismo MC, and teammate Gianmarco Rainmondo, from St. Catharines, Ontario, with a time of 2:18.607, in the No. 47 Maserati GranTurismo MC.
