IMSA: Daly preparing for sports car return
Verizon IndyCar Series driver Conor Daly made quite an impression during his TUDOR United SportsCar Championship debut with Brent O'Neill's Performance Tech PC team at Sebring in March (ABOVE), and is preparing for his return to sports cars next weekend at the 6 Hours of The Glen.
"I've been on quite a ride lately driving for Schmidt Peterson Motorsports in IndyCar and I also can't wait to get back to sports cars at Watkins Glen," Daly (RIGHT) told RACER.
"I'm only confirmed for Watkins right now, but I think it could expand to Mosport and Elkhart Lake and Petit Le Mans."
Daly's debut for Performance Tech at the famed 12 Hours of Sebring saw the Indiana native lead convincingly on the way to placing third with co-drivers James French and Jerome Mee.
Daly is coming off a 12th place finish last weekend at Toronto with SPM as a stand-in for his injured friend James Hinchcliffe, and took sixth in his previous race in the team's No. 5 Honda.
With Daly racing at Watkins on the same weekend as Fontana (where IndyCar holds its next race), the Hoosier would look to one of the following rounds for another shot in the No. 5.
