F1: Pirelli goes more aggressive for Monza
Pirelli has chosen to go more aggressive with its Formula 1 allocation for the Italian Grand Prix. Teams have been told the nomination will be one step softer than usual at Monza, with the medium and soft tires available, rather than hard and medium as was the case last year.
Pirelli has been less conservative with its compound choices this year, with the make-up of the softer rubber proving to be more durable.
The nominations for the British, Hungarian and Belgian Grands Prix are the same as last year. The soft and medium will be available for the Hungary and Belgium, while the hard and medium will be used in Britain at the start of next month.
