LM24: Garage 56 update – Tinseau to partner Sausset, GreenGT H2 to run this month
Christophe Tinseau has been confirmed as the second driver for the Garage 56 effort confirmed for the 2016 Le Mans 24 Hours with quad-amputee Frederic Sausset in a specially adapted Morgan LMP2 chassis.
Tinseau has 11 prior starts at the Le mans 24 Hours, the last, in 2012, providing a second-place class finish with the Thiriet by TDS team.
Welter Racing is confirmed for 2017 with the Biomethane fuelled BW Biogas Le Mans 2017, the second time that the ex-Le Mans pole-setting outfit has been successful in being selected as a Garage 56 nominee.
The earlier effort failed to make the race, the Hydrogen-fueled GreenGT H2 taking too long to develop for the requirements of the entry and missing the 2013 race for which it had been pre-selected.
The Green GT H2, though, has has now been announced as getting its first public run later this month on June 27 during the Paul Ricard WTCC meeting.
