INDYCAR paddock bustling with fresh, new faces

Travel bags and gear for many destinations on the Verizon IndyCar Series schedule has multiplied recently as a baby boom among drivers has taken place over the past several seasons.

Children quickly become part of the expansive fan "family." Some even leave baby gifts at the team transporter.

“People will sign cards with their name and say how long they have been fans and where they are from,” says Lauren Kanaan, wife of Chip Ganassi Racing Teams driver Tony Kanaan. “It’s cool. They love it that INDYCAR is accessible enough that they know the families.”
