F1: Pirelli stays aggressive with choices

Pirelli has elected to stick with the same tire compound choices as last year for the next four Formula 1 grands prix.

Although F1 cars are quicker this year, and therefore putting more energy through the rubber, Pirelli believes there are no grounds for being more conservative with its compound choices.

For Spain, Pirelli will bring the hard and medium tires, while the soft and super-soft will be used in Monaco, Canada and Austria.

Monaco will again mark the first appearance of the season for the super-soft rubber.
