Bell and Estre for new BSS McLaren

McLaren factory drivers Rob Bell (pictured) and Kevin Estre will pair up for an attack on the Blancpain Sprint Series with the German Attempto Racing squad. The duo will team up in one of two 650S GT3s entered by the Porsche specialist, which won the 2013 Carrera Cup Germany with Estre and the Supercup in the same season with Nicki Thiim.

"The deal has all been a bit last-minute, but it will be good to have a go at the BSS for the first time," said Bell. "Kevin and I were third at Baku a couple of years ago with the Hexis McLaren team [when the BSS was known as the FIA GT Series] and we are expecting to do well this time."

Attempto has yet to announce the drivers of its second car ahead of the opening round of the BSS at Nogaro on April 5-6.

FACTORY BMW DRIVERS FOR NOGARO

BMW factory drivers Maxime Martin and Dirk Muller have been drafted in to drive one of the Z4 GT3s for Antonio Hermann's Brazilian team at the BSS opener. They are undertaking a one-off with BMW Team Brazil because all four of its regular drivers are unable able to compete courtesy of a clashing round of the Brazilian Stock Car Championship on the Ribeirao Preto street circuit.

Ricardo Sperafico, who will contest the Blancpain Endurance Series with the team, will share the other car with twin brother Rodrigo.
