TORONTO (March 26, 2015) – Pfaff Motorsports, a division of Pfaff Automotive Partners, today announced its driver lineup for the 2015 Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Michelin. The two-car entry, with Chris Green and Orey Fidani competing in the Platinum and Gold classes, reflects an increased level of investment and commitment in the Canadian series.

2015 will be Pfaff's second season as an independent, fully-fledged operation. Having previously partnered with Fiorano Racing in 2012 and with Alegra Motorsports in 2013, its 2014 effort - run completely in-house by enthusiastic employees on a volunteer basis - brought home second-place finishes in driver and team championships.

“That the majority of our racing team are employees working on a volunteer basis says something about the passion and drive that they all share,” said Chris Pfaff, President and CEO of Pfaff Automotive Partners. “From the fondly-remembered Rothmans/Porsche Challenge in the 1980s, through to numerous endurance racing efforts, the Canadian Touring Car Championship and now the Canadian GT3 Cup Challenge, racing has always been the ultimate manifestation of our competitive spirit.”

Returning for a third full season with Pfaff Motorsports, Chris Green will once again be driving the #9 Pfaff-Castrol Motorsports Porsche GT3 Cup in the Platinum Class. With an impressive career spanning 21 years, Chris started racing karts at the age of nine in his home province of Quebec. He quickly started winning races and championships locally before going on to compete, and win, on the national and international stage. In the 24 races Chris has contested in the GT3 Cup Challenge, he has won 11 times, and has racked up 21 podium finishes, 19 pole positions and countless fastest race laps.

Joining Pfaff Motorsports in 2015, Orey Fidani will drive the #13 Pfaff-Orlando Motorsports Porsche GT3 Cup in the Gold Class. Orey grew up fascinated by race cars, custom cars, and hot rods; a fascination for tuning cars and a need for speed led Orey to open his own auto shop, where he built his first dragster. After a succession of driving schools and track days around North America, he spent a year building his skills by open-lapping street cars and then a season in regional racing; in 2014, he raced in the GT1 Sprints and took home the championship in his first year.

The two drivers will be supported by an expanded team dedicated to bringing home their first team championship.

Steve Bortolotti, Team Manager, works his days at Pfaff Tuning/McLaren Toronto. When he’s not managing the race team, he continues to campaign his Mazda RX-8 race car in Ontario Time Attack races.

Head Technicians Nick Harrison and John Paul Dias are also both Pfaff employees. Nick is in his third year with Pfaff Motorsports, and also works at Pfaff Tuning. He is currently building his own drag car to compete at local events. John Paul has worked at Pfaff Porsche as a Porsche technician for the past seven years, and was part of the Pfaff Motorsports team in 2013.

Before joining Pfaff Motorsports, Chris Green’s Race Engineer, Joe La Joie, was an owner-consultant specializing in race operations and engineering in a diverse range of racing series, including ChampCar/IndyCar, Tudor, Grand-AM (DP & GT), ALMS & ACO (GT1, GT2, & GTC), ACO (GT1), and SCCA (STO, GT2). Orey Fidani’s Race Engineer, Andrew Marangoni, is an automotive mechanical design engineer by trade who spends his free time wrenching on his hot hatch and '68 Chevrolet.

Katelyn Field and Gerald Maidment will act as Tire/Fuel Technicians. Field is a 22-year- old Service Consultant at Pfaff Audi Vaughan, and drives her 1999 Honda Civic it in the Canadian Sport Compact Series. Naveen Islam, Administrator at McLaren Toronto and Pfaff Tuning, has been with Pfaff with for over five years and will be overseeing administrative and catering needs during race weekends.

Gerald Maidment, Transport Truck driver for APPS Transport, has been a Harley- Davidson enthusiast for his entire life and is looking forward to learning more about our Porsche race cars. Matt Berenz, Multimedia Coordinator, will be filming a 10-episode video series for the team, which will launch in late March.

The fifth season of the Canadian championship starts May 15-17 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and ends Aug. 28-30 at the same venue. Competition also will take place on the streets of Toronto, at Calabogie Motorsports Park and at Grand Prix Trois- Rivières, with two 45-minute rounds at every series event.

The #9 GT3 Cup car will be on display at the Pfaff Porsche showroom, 101 Auto Park Circle, Woodbridge, Ontario, from today onward.
