Servia named partner and co-managing director for Dragon Racing

Dragon Racing, the Los Angeles-based Formula E team owned by media and publishing entrepreneur Jay Penske, has announced that Oriol Servia has been appointed Partner and Managing Director, serving alongside existing Managing Director Paul Woolnough. Servia had previously driven the Dragon Racing #6 entry (BELOW) in the all-electric series.

Replacing Servia for the this weekend's Miami ePrix will be Audi WEC regular Loic Duval

.

"It is with some regret that I won't be behind the wheel of the Dragon Racing entry in the FIA Formula E Championship," said Servia. "However, Jay and I had always spoken about me playing a larger role in the organization, and I am ready for this latest challenge in my career. We have a world-class team, and I look forward to playing my part in putting Jerome and Loic on the podium."

In the co-managing director role, Servia will be responsible for the management of Dragon Racing's technical operations and developing its commercial relationships.

"I am very pleased to have Loic join the Dragon Racing team for the first ever Formula E race in the United States," said Jay Penske. "It's never easy to step into a new series, but his preparation and simulation sessions went exceptionally well and we're confident he's ready for this challenge. I look forward to seeing Loic ascend in Miami and am eager to watch he and Jerome create a winning combination."

"It's been a pleasure working with Oriol in the cockpit, and I am excited to work alongside him outside of it," added Woolnough. "Leveraging his driving experience and engineering expertise will allow the team to improve the scope of our engineering capabilities and operational performance."
