Reiter Engineering Confirms Catsburg for 2015 Season

Under the ‘Blancpain Racing’ banner, a name currently more familiar among European motorsport fans, Blancpain, the world’s oldest watchmaking brand and Bavarian sportscar stable Reiter Engineering will join the grid of the Pirelli World Challenge series. Dutchman Nick Catsburg will be at the wheel of the Gallardo GT3 and contest the entire PWC season under the Blancpain Racing banner.

By joining the ‘Pirelli World Challenge’, Blancpain reinforces its commitment to motorsport in the USA as the brand strongly believes on the great potential of this new GT championship. Starting with the participation of the "Blancpain Racing" Team, this partnership may evolve over the next few years. Among Blancpain Racing’s greatest moments are victory in the 12-hour race of Budapest and numerous race wins and podium finishes in the Blancpain Endurance Series and the amateur driver’s title for Marc Hayek in the 2011 ADAC GT Masters.

The sports car manufacturer Reiter Engineering, which also designed the Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 racecars, sees great market potential in the USA. In addition, Reiter Engineering collected its first victories and experience in the USA in 2014: in its maiden Pirelli World Challenge season, the Reiter Engineering racing team established itself in the upper echelons of the North American motorsport scene. The two Reiter Gallardo FL2 GT3 cars quickly made their mark among the leaders with a tally of 6 wins and six second and third positions. Blancpain Racing and Nick Catsburg aim to improve these statistics this year.
