Lynn carries out DRS test for GP2

Williams Formula 1 reserve driver Alex Lynn carried out a GP2 test session focused on the category's new DRS in Bahrain on Wednesday.

The Briton spent the day at the wheel of the GP2 development car at Sakhir, completing an aero-based program built around the new drag reduction system that will be introduced for this season. The day started with straightline aero tests, and finished with long runs to evaluate the reliability of the system.

The test came about as a prize for Lynn winning last year's GP3 title.

"I have really enjoyed driving the GP2 development car today," Lynn said. "It has been a very studious test session so far. I am grateful for this prize and opportunity. I hope that my feedback will be a benefit to all of the GP2 teams regarding the newly added DRS."

Lynn will race in GP2 this season with title-winning squad DAMS, alongside his duties as a Williams development driver.
