Report: Apex-Brasil ends IndyCar partnership

Apex-Brasil, the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency Agency, has ended its partnership with IndyCar that had run since 2008, according to The Indianapolis Star. The deal, which was renewed in 2012, was worth several million dollars annually to the series according to The Star. In addition to its involvement with the series, Apex-Brasil had served as a personal sponsor of Tony Kanaan.

Jay Frye, chief revenue officer of Hulman Motorsports, told The Star that IndyCar continues to talk with Apex-Brasil "if not for 2015, then for 2016," and said the series has countered the loss with four signed partnership deals that will be announced in the coming weeks.
