F3: Jensen set for Mercedes junior deal
Highly rated Dane Mikkel Jensen is set to contest the Formula 3 European Championship as a Mercedes junior with Mucke Motorsport. The 20-year-old won last year's ADAC Formel Masters title in Germany, and was one of the star newcomers in December testing in F3.
Jensen set quick times with both Mucke and Van Amersfoort Racing during the week-long Valencia test last month. Although there has been no official confirmation from Mucke, Jensen has announced the new tie-up on his Facebook page.
Mercedes has been looking for new drivers to back in F3 during the winter, with its 2014 proteges Felix Rosenqvist, Lucas Auer and Felix Serralles all moving out of the category.
Mucke has already confirmed Italian Michele Beretta for 2015 and is understood to be very close to a deal with American Santino Ferrucci.
