Lotus F1 juniors get Euro F3 drives
Lotus F1 juniors Alexander Albon and Dorian Boccolacci will race for the Signature team in the Formula 3 European Championship this season.
Albon finished third in the Formula Renault Eurocup in 2014, while 16-year-old Boccolacci finished second in the French F4 category.
Signature returned to F3 last season after a two-year absence, though its planned Renault-engined program was scrapped at the last minute before the French squad finally reappeared with Volkswagen power at Imola in September.
"I am very, very happy and very honored by the trust that Lotus has placed in me, by entrusting me with two of their proteges," said team principal Philippe Sinault. "Last year, at the end of the season, we managed to come back with a competitive technical package, and to be on the pace from the start.
"Two cars is a good format to compete in the [European] F3 championship, with the possibility of adding a third car if we find a top quality driver."
Both drivers have already tested the team's Dallara-VWs.
