Skip Barber Racing School promotes Chief Instructor Carden to Director, Competition

Skip Barber Racing School announced the promotion of Chief Instructor Casey Carden to Director, Competition. Effective immediately, Carden will oversee Race Series within Skip Barber Racing School. In addition to these responsibilities, Carden will continue to serve as the School's Chief Instructor.

"Casey has a comprehensive knowledge of motorsports, and a deep passion for the company. His expertise and experience are an invaluable asset to the job and will serve the company well. Race Series is fundamental to Skip Barber Racing School, and we know it will thrive under Casey’s leadership." said Michael Culver, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Member of Skip Barber Racing School.

Casey grew up in Braselton, Ga., and had exposure to racing at an early age, which fed his desire to have a career in motorsports. His career began in karting where a couple of championships led him to racing formula cars in SCCA competition.  He competed for several successful years in formula cars in the national and entry level professional ranks. In addition to formula car racing, Casey drives for various teams in endurance races in cars ranging from GT cars to MX-5 Cup cars. He started as an instructor at Skip Barber Racing School in 2008.

Outside of Skip Barber, Carden has also served as a coach and spotter for many teams and drivers. He holds a degree from the University of Georgia in Consumer Economics and brings a business-savvy personality to the table.
