Paul Holton to Compete in GTS with RS1

Pompano Beach, FL - Rennsport One is proud to announce it will be running PWC with driver Paul Holton in a Porsche Cayman S. Paul will be making his debut in the GTS class for seven races this season in the series.

Team Principal, Justin Bellinzoni is extremely pleased with the driver signing.

“We have been working with Paul over the past few months, testing and getting him familiar with the Cayman platform. I’ve seen a lot of potential from Paul and I’m truly amazing with his level of talent and car control. He’s very calm and collective behind the wheel all while giving me great feedback in order to help dial in the car. We’re looking forward to getting everyone together at The Circuit of The America’s and getting this season started.”
Paul Holton is a 18-year-old high school senior from Tallahassee, Fl. In June of 2013 he completed Henry Gilbert's Advanced Racing School (Performance Driving Group/Corvette Racing School) and received his SCCA competition license. From there he went on to compete in SCCA club racing, showing strong talent, great potential, and a quick learning curve. In the 2014 race season Holton competed in the Pirelli World Challenge Touring Car B Championship driving for Shea Racing. In his Rookie season Holton accumulated numerous top 10's, top 5's, 2 podiums, and a win on his run to a solid 4th place championship finish, all the while fighting through adversity at every turn on the track. Paul looks forward to expanding his racing career in 2015. In addition to his seven-weekend Pirelli World Challenge schedule with Rennsport-One, Paul is competing in the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge under another team banner.

I have 100 percent faith that we will have an awesome car. The Cayman platform has proven very competitive in the past few seasons of Pirelli World Challenge. I am only able to compete in 7 events in 2015 because of my commitment to another team in another series so every race we plan to be fully challenging for the win. There are a lot of people who have helped me get to this point in my career where I have the opportunity to do this, whether it be coaches, officials, competitors, or sponsors, I owe them a huge thank you. I cannot wait for the first event at COTA in 2015!"
