Pirelli World Challenge: Esayian joins Capaldi Racing for 2015

Capaldi Racing has announced that Nick Esayian will be joining Jack Roush Jr. and Capaldi Racing competing in the GTS class of the Pirelli World Challenge Series. Esayian will be piloting a Ford Mustang Boss 302R. Roush Performance yesterday announced a new partnership between Capaldi Racing and Jack Roush Jr. for the 2015 Pirelli World Challenge series.

Esayian has contributed to four Manufacturer’s Championships with RealTime Racing, is a multiple race winner, frequent visitor to the podium, and has over 130 Pirelli World Challenge race starts with Acura, BMW and Aston Martin. Esayian has competed in the series since 2002 in both the GT and GTS classes.

In addition to his professional racing career he is on the Board of Directors for WC Vision, is the CEO of Revenue Solutions (a direct response marketing company), is a strong advocate of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation and a member of the San Diego Sheriff’s Department Search and Rescue Team.

“I have known, respected and admired Capaldi Racing since my career started in World Challenge in 2002 so it is a real treat having the opportunity to race for Leo/Craig/Sandie and partner with a teammate like Jack Roush, Jr.," said Esayian. "I am very confident we collectively have the experience, resources, and talent to make a solid run for both the Driver’s and Manufacturer’s Championships.”

“We have had a long standing relationship with Nick and when the opportunity presented itself we were excited to have the chance to have him as part of the team,” said team principal Leo Capaldi.

Roush and Esayian fought nose to tail at many of races in 2014 including a hard-fought battle in the season finale at Miller Motorsports Park.

“Jack Jr. and I had some epic battles last year so it’s a bit of a relief to have him on the same team," added Esayian. "I think we will prove to be a formidable one-two punch for the other great PWC teams from Porsche, Chevy, Kia, Nissan, Aston Martin as well as the other marques. There is no question the level of competition in PWC continues to rise and we are poised to use the strengths of the Mustang and this team’s experience to chase the various PWC championships.”

Esayian has also engaged the Pirelli World Challenge paddock in his efforts to help provide grants to children of our fallen Special Operations members of the U.S. military.

“We will continue to support the men and women at the tip of the spear through the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. Providing educational grants to the children of the fallen is the absolute least we can do in supporting these brave men and women that protect our freedoms. The World Challenge paddock has exceeded my wildest expectation for the SOWF with their time, wallets, and promotion of the cause.”
