Starworks Motorsport owner Peter Baron isn't ready to reveal his team's full plans for the upcoming TUDOR United Sports Car Championship season, but tells RACER he's preparing one full-season PC entry and a Riley DP in Prototype for an unspecified number of outings.

"We're planning to be back with one PC car, and we're working on something with our DP car in Prototype, but can't say exactly what that will be right now," he said, opting to keep its powerplant under wraps. "It's looking good, and it could become full-time but we're not there yet. I should know more fairly soon."

Based on a year of strong showings by DPs, Baron says the Grand-Am based prototypes should continue to hold an advantage in 2015.

"The way DPs have settled down, I think you're better off fielding a DP," he added. "We're definitely not purchasing a P2 car now. If you look at the success per dollars right now, the DP is the best value for winning races overall, so we'll be using our Riley.

"Last year there was the uncertainty of which type of car would be best, you had the issues at the fall test to consider, but I think the success we've seen with the DP over the season has given us every confidence that we need to be using a DP next season."

Along with its existing PC program, Starworks' DP is expected to run at the Roar Before the 24 with some new faces behind the wheel.
