F1: Sainz gets Red Bull test call-up
Carlos Sainz Jr. will join Daniel Ricciardo in Red Bull's line-up for the post-Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Formula 1 test. The Formula Renault 3.5 champion will get one day of testing as part of a reward for taking this year's title in the series.
It will be the second time Sainz has tested for long-time backer Red Bull, having already driven for the team during the 2013 young driver sessions at Silverstone. The Spaniard will drive the Renault-powered RB10 on the opening day of the test on Tuesday November 25, with Ricciardo taking over for the second session.
Sainz is yet to announce his plans for the 2015 season but is a contender for the second Toro Rosso seat alongside Max Verstappen.
