F1: Surprised Sutil wants Sauber talks after losing ride

Adrian Sutil has demanded talks with his Sauber Formula 1 team bosses following their announcement that he will be replaced for 2015. The German was believed to have a contract in place for next year, but his Sauber team caused a surprise on Wednesday when it revealed that

Felipe Nasr will be Marcus Ericsson's teammate

.

Sutil has expressed some surprise at the situation, and made it clear in Brazil on Thursday that discussions were needed with his team to clear up matters.

"There are certain things to talk about definitely," he said. "Yes, they confirmed two drivers, but it doesn't mean the drivers are going to drive, and it doesn't mean the team is going to drive. So there is no real change from last weekend to this weekend. It is just an announcement, from my side I need to do some talking to sort out the things."

With Sauber opting to not retain Sutil for next year, he admitted that he faced an uncertain future in F1 with few other drives available.

"I don't know. I will see what is possible, what I want," he said. "There are quite a few things to sort out and I cannot really say more at the moment."

When asked if he was frustrated with the situation, Sutil said: "I am not frustrated, but it is just how it is. I am in F1 many years and it is a little bit of a different business. That is all I can say right now, but I look forward to the race. I race, and that is it."
