Tincknell claims ELMS pole for JOTA

Harry Tincknell claimed his fourth pole position of the European Le Mans Series season at Estoril on Sunday morning. The JOTA Sport Zytek-Nissan driver produced a lap of 1m29.497s to beat Tristan Gommendy's Thiriet by TDS Racing Ligier into second place.

The Signatech Alpine will start third after Nelson Panciatici's efforts, ahead of the Murphy Prototypes ORECA-Nissan qualified by Pipo Derani and ex-F1 driver Christian Klien in NewBlood by Morand's Morgan-Judd.

In LMGTE, birthday boy Stuart Hall scored the first 2014 pole for the Gulf Racing Aston Martin squad with a 1m37.269s, just 0.096sec ahead of the JMW Motorsport Ferrari of Daniel Zampieri.

In GTC, Luca Persiani took SMP Racing's third pole in his Ferrari 458 with a lap of 1m38.783s, 0.091sec ahead of the ART GP McLaren of Kevin Korjus.
