GP2: Ellinas stands in for Quaife-Hobbs at Sochi

Tio Ellinas will return to GP2 at Sochi this weekend in place of Adrian Quaife-Hobbs at Rapax. A GP2 Series statement said that Quaife-Hobbs had been advised not to race due to an unspecified neck injury.

Ellinas, a GP3 title contender last year and a sometime Marussia Formula 1 test driver, made his GP2 debut with MP Motorsport earlier this season. The 22-year-old from Cyprus contested three rounds with a best finish of seventh in the Barcelona feature race, his first start in the series.

He joins Simon Trummer in the Rapax lineup for GP2's first visit to Russia.
