Poland wins World Challenge TC at Miller

Adam Poland scored his second Pirelli World Challenge Touring Car victory of the season, and the second for Mazda, in his No. 11 Texas Track Works/Eastex Motorsports MX-5 in the penultimate round at Miller Motorsports Park.

Poland, of Mt. Vernon, Texas, drove a flawless race, starting from pole. Off of the standing start, Poland outpaced Michael Pettiford, who started second, through Turn 1 and never looked back, winning the race flag to flag.
Poland put a neutral setup on his MX-5 that seemed to suit the track well. Poland finished third in the Touring Car championship points with five podiums, including two victories.

In Touring Car A, Ernie Francis needed another perfect weekend to claim a championship; unfortunately he didn’t get it, finishing third and fifth in his Breathless Performance MX-5.
