Poland, Jonsson, Price Take TC, TCA, TCB Round 13 Poles

TOOELE, Utah - Adam Poland of Mt. Vernon, Texas grabbed his second pole of the season in the Touring Car class qualifying session with a time of 1:37.762 in his No. 11 Texas Track Works/Eastex Motorsports Mazda MX-5.Poland starts from pole for Friday’s Round 13, the Pirelli World Challenge Nissan Championship Finale brought to you by Motul.
“The car ran great, the new Pirellis were amazing. Was on a scrub set this morning,” Poland said. “It’ll give me some breathing room starting up front. We have reached our goals as a team. Have fun racing. Try to put on the best show we can.”
Michael Pettiford in the No. 41 Go 4 It Racing Schools/Hawk Brakes Pontiac Solstice was second with a time of 1:38.945. Points leader Michael DiMeo ended up sixth with a time of 1:39.953 in his No. 71 Grand Alarms Honda Civic Si.
In Touring Car A, Nic Jonsson, of Buford, Georgia, will start on pole in his No. 38 Kinetic Motorsports Kia Forte Koup with a time of 1:40.671. Ernie Francis Jr in his No. 98 Breathless Performance Mazda MX-5 will start second with a time of 1:40.882. Points leader Jason Wolfe starts third in class in the No. 36 Wolfe Trucking Kia Forte Koup.
Johan Schwartz, of Denmark, had taken his third Touring Car B-spec pole of the season with a time of 1:50.519 in his No. 12 ADA/Lilly Diabetes/American Honda Fit. However his car was found out of compliance in post-qualifying technical inspection, and he will start from the rear of the field.
Championship leader Brian Price had qualified second but now inherits the Motul pole (his fourth of 2014) with a time of 1:50.578 in his No. 51 Unlimited Racing/RP Performance Honda Fit. Starting second in class is Nathan Stacy, of Owasso, Oklahoma, in his MDG/Ford Racing Ford Fiesta with a time of 1:51.394.
Race 1 for TC/TCA/TCB starts at 3:10pm MT and local time.
