Heitkotter's Nissan On Top in Touring Car Miller Practice

TOOELE, Utah – Bryan Heitkotter of Fresno, California, led the way in free practice from the scenic Miller Motorsports Park with a best time of 1:38.839 in his No. 93 Nissan/GT Academy/Skullcandy Nissan Altima Coupe.The Touring Car, Touring Car A and Touring Car B-Spec classes run this weekend on Miller’s 2.244-mile west course, for the Pirelli World Challenge Nissan Championship Finale brought to you by Motul. 


Nic Jonsson, of Buford, Ga., was on top in TCA with a fastest time of 1:41.327 in the No. 38 Kinetic Motorsports Kia Forte Koup. Jonsson takes over for Russell Smith, who was originally scheduled to drive the No. 38 car this weekend.


The top two in the class points standings, Jason Wolfe, of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, in the No. 36 Wolfe Trucking Kia Forte Koup and Shea Holbrook, of Groveland, Fla., in the No. 67 Lucas Oil/The Center for Bone and Joint Disease/TRUECar/Radium Honda Civic Si were fourth and fifth.


In TCB, points leader Brian Price, of Middletown, Va., in the No. 51 Unlimited Racing/RP Performance Honda Fit was fastest with a 1:50.895. 


Johan Schwartz, of Denmark, was second in the No. 12 Animas/ADA/American Honda. Schwartz continues in the No. 12 this weekend for Garrett Racing/Drive4Diabetes after sweeping the Brainerd races.


Tyler Palmer, of San Diego, Calif., in the No. 37 MINI USA/Mobil 1/Flying L Racing/ThePainter’sFriend.com/Discount Tire Mini Cooper and Nathan Stacy, of Owasso, Okla., in the No. 14 MDG/Ford Racing Ford Fiesta, were third and fourth. Palmer and Stacy look to catch Price for the TCB driver’s championship this weekend. 


Qualifying for TC/TCA/TCB begins at 11:50am MT and local time.
