Ceccon back to GP3 with Jenzer
Former Auto GP champion Kevin Ceccon has joined the Jenzer Motorsport GP3 team for the remainder of the season, starting with this weekend's races at Spa.
Ceccon, a podium finisher in GP3 with Ocean Racing Technology two years ago, will compete alongside Pal Varhaug and Matheo Tuscher at Jenzer, having been absent from international motorsport so far in 2014. He raced in GP2 with Trident last season.
The 20-year-old Italian replaces Christopher Hoher, who in turn was deputizing for Adderly Fong at the Hungaroring as the Hong Kong driver was absent due to clashing commitments in the Audi R8 LMS Cup.
"I am very pleased to join the Jenzer Motorsport team," said Ceccon. "I will definitely be focused to give the best of myself."
Team boss Andreas Jenzer added: "Kevin has previously raced in this series and has plenty of other racing experience. We are looking forward to working with him."
