Edwards Drives BMW M3 To TOTAL Pole Award In GS

Subtitle:Porsche Cayman of Ruscitti Will Start First In ST

The Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge held two qualifying sessions today for the Grand Sport (GS) and Street Tuner (ST) classes.  Each session provided the teams with 15 minutes to make a run at winning the TOTAL Pole Award.

In GS, the Ford Mustang Boss 302R of Billy Johnson had an early lead over Chevrolet Camaro Z/28.R driver Andrew Davis, but in the end it was the No. 46 Trim-Tex/Cirocco Ozzimo BMW M3 of John Edwards who was fastest at 2:22.590.

The ST class ended with Remo Ruscitti setting the fastest time in the No. 04 BBA Accounting/DE Labs Porsche Cayman at 2:31.178 on his final lap of the session.
