MotoGP: Crutchlow seals 2015 LCR Honda move
Cal Crutchlow will move to LCR Honda in 2015 after his split with the Ducati MotoGP team, Lucio Cecchinello's squad has confirmed.
Within hours of Ducati's announcement that it had agreed to terminate Crutchlow's contract a year ahead of schedule, LCR officially welcomed the 28-year-old Briton to its lineup.
"We want to thank Cal for his trust in our 2015 racing project," said Cecchinello. "In the meantime we will keep working hard to end the current season in the best way."
LCR has yet to announce what will happen to its current sole rider Stefan Bradl, who has been part of the team since he graduated to the top class as Moto2 champion in 2012. The team had been evaluating expanding to a second entry having secured a new sponsorship deal with British firm CWM.
Ducati will promote Andrea Iannone from its satellite Pramac team to join the factory outfit in place of Crutchlow, alongside Andrea Dovizioso.
