Denver, CO - Media personality Leo Parente and WC Vision/Pirelli World Challenge's Dan Goodman will be sharing driving duties in TCB Rounds 9 and 10 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, August 1-3. They will be driving the No. 00 FIAT USA/Pirelli Tire/SRT Motorsports 4R Motorsports FIAT 500 in support of Maxton’s Fight, a foundation supporting pediatric cancer patients, including its namesake Maxton Prill.
Parente is a veteran of professional open wheel racing, with 39 starts in the Toyota Atlantic Championship Series, dating back to the 1990’s. Parente won, was Top 5 competitive, added a few podiums, pole positions, and a track record at Road America. This will be Parente's first start in Pirelli World Challenge.
Maxton’s Fight, Inc. was formed in support children battling disease, including three-year-old Maxton Prill, son of SCCA Vice President Eric Prill and former Pirelli World Challenge staff member Robin Prill. Diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in November 2013, Max’s chemotherapy treatment will carry into 2017. Early in his course of treatment, Max received a cape with a lightning bolt “M” on the back, which has transformed him into “SuperMax,” a mini superhero that fights cancer and lifts the spirits of others facing similar fights. The support of organizations like Capes 4 Heroes prompted the Prills to form Maxton’s Fight, Inc., a foundation to raise funds, not only to cover Maxton’s treatment, but for the financial benefit of other children and support groups.
