Hindman Tops Continental Tire Challenge Practice In BMW M3

Trent Hindman topped Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge practice Friday morning at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. Hindman drove the No. 46 Fall-Line Motorsports BMW M3 to a lap of 1:27.050 with seven minutes remaining in the session, besting Scott Maxwell by 0.170 seconds.
Maxwell quickly reasserted himself as the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park master Friday morning. Maxwell – who resides in nearby Toronto and won the final two Continental Tire Challenge races at CTMP in 2007 and 2008 – was quickest for much of the session with a lap of 1:27.220 in the No. 15 Multimatic Motorsports Ford Mustang Boss 302R. Maxwell is a two-time Continental Tire Challenge champion (2002, 2008) and was recently inducted in the Canadian Motorsports Hall of Fame.Lawson Aschenbach led the opening practice on Thursday afternoon and followed that up with the third best lap Friday morning with a lap of 1:27.410 in the No. 01 CKS Autosport Camaro Z/28.R.In the Street Tuner (ST) class, Wayne Nonnamaker was fastest in the No. 42 Team Sahlen Porsche Cayman at 1:32.248. Remo Ruscitti continued to show speed in the No. 04 Autometrics Motorsports Porsche Cayman, finishing the session second with a lap of 1:32.259. Terry Borcheller rounded out the top three with a lap of 1:32.371 in the No. 23 Burton Racing BMW 128i.
