Conway to race with Dragon in Formula E
Mike Conway will drive for Dragon Racing in the inaugural Formula E Championship.
The 30-year-old Briton is currently contesting a part-time IndyCar season with Ed Carpenter Racing, winning the Long Beach round in April, and is also a test and reserve driver for Toyota's LMP1 program.
Jay Penske's Dragon Racing team ran an IndyCar operation until the end of last year. Conway is the first driver to sign for Dragon's FE lineup.
"I have always been impressed by his talents, smarts, and performance in the IndyCar Series, and we feel that the combination of his experience, tenacity, and driving skills will be a force this year in the Formula E championship," said Penske.
Conway added: "I have been very interested in Formula E since it was announced and I am proud to be involved with both Jay and Dragon Racing, in what I believe is breaking new ground in motorsports. I am very confident we can achieve great results during this first season."
Dragon's announcement means that nine of the 10 FE teams have now announced at least one driver, with China Racing the only exception.
