Martsenko makes Hilmer GP3 move
Russian driver Nikolay Martsenko will join Hilmer Motorsport for the second round of the GP3 Series at the Red Bull Ring.
Martsenko began the season in Formula Renault 3.5, where a strong start to his third campaign in the series included second place at Aragon. But he halted his program with Comtec last month, citing a funding shortfall. The 21-year-old will now make his GP3 debut, replacing compatriot Ivan Taranov at Hilmer in Austria.
"I'd like to thank Hilmer Motorsport for this chance," said Martsenko. "For me it's very important to prove that they made the right decision.
"It will be my first experience at the wheel of a GP3 car but I will do my best to achieve a good result."
