Digital/Print Advertising Sales Director

Job requirementsWe're seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to sell national cross-platform advertising programs for one of the world's premier motorsports web sites and its associated print publications. The ideal candidate is:

- Experienced with digital and print media sales- Well-connected in the performance automotive/motorsports ad market- Goal driven - Competitive- Determined - Persuasive - Focused - Motivated by closing sales and making money

Duties and Responsibilities

Great interpersonal, communication and presentation skills are required. We are looking for someone eager to identify, build and maintain strong relationships with national advertising clients in the performance automotive and motorsports markets across our print and digital portfolio. You will need to  to generate leads, identify prospects and make the market aware of our products.

You will need to manage and develop account lists in various categories by selling cross-platform marketing programs for clients. Must be able to maintain a high level of sales activity primarily through phone, email and personal contact. Ability to manage all aspects of delivering print and digital campaigns and all phases of trafficking is a must.

• Meet and exceed sales goals for digital and print properties.• Attend sales meetings to present/sell marketing proposals to agencies and clients.• Engage in direct prospecting and lead generation activities.• Develop innovative integrated deals that extend across all platforms.• Develop ways to bridge editorial interests and the interests of our corporate partners.• Organize and lead internal brainstorm sessions to develop marketing concepts and customized added value components in response to RFPs.• Develop strategic relationships to position us as a leader in our market.

Qualifications

Three plus years digital and print media sales experience. Knowledge of performance automotive/motorsports advertising and media planning/buying and ability to influence strategy essential, as is a creative and persuasive communication style. Must be able to identify client needs and create appropriate proposals. Experience selling packages that include print and digital campaigns, sponsored/custom editorial content and event sponsorships a plus.
