IndyCar: Saavedra on probation for Long Beach infractions
KV/AFS Racing driver Sebastian Saavedra has been fined and placed on probation for a full-course yellow infraction at last weekend's IndyCar race at Long Beach.
Officials determined that the Colombian had breached Rule 7.1.3.2.2 (failure to yield to safety vehicle and personnel). He has been fined $10,000 and will remain on probation until next month's Indianapolis 500.
Saavedra, who was classified ninth in the race, does have avenues of appeal if he chooses.
