IndyCar: Saavedra confirms switch to KV for 2014

Sebastian Saavedra will be reunited with former Dragon Racing teammate Sebastien Bourdias in 2014 after being officially confirmed as the driver of KV Racing's second car,

as RACER reported yesterday

.

The Colombian will drive the No. 17 entry, which will be jointly run by AFS Racing. He will compete under the banner of KV AFS. He previously ran a joint AFS/Andretti Autosport entry at Indianapolis in 2012 (pictured, TOP).

"I am very thankful to be part of a great project that we have been working on for a good while now," said Saavedra. "Seeing the AFS car back in action and with a great partnership with KV Racing Technology is something that brings a lot of excitement. All of this gives me great confidence to push not only my limits, but the team's too.

"It's also great to be back working with Bourdais. I believe we have unfinished business out there."

The upcoming season will be the 23-year-old's third in IndyCar, and second successive year as teammate to Bourdais.
