Arie Luyendyk Jr. has announced his new primary sponsor, RSC Chemical Solutions, a division of Radiator Specialty Company, and the makers of GUNK products, the industry leader in engine cleaning and degreasing products. GUNK will sponsor Luyendyk as he returns to compete in the 2014 season of TORC: The Off-Road Championship.

 
Entering in his first full season of TORC, Luyendyk will advance to the PRO-2 division behind the wheel of the #25 GUNK-sponsored truck. With a successful inaugural off-road season to his credit, he is now primed to compete for the 2014 national championship.
 
Luyendyk Jr. is the son of two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Arie Luyendyk and an open-wheel veteran in his own right. The Scottsdale, Ariz.-based driver and television personality transitioned to off-road racing in 2013 with the inaugural season of Robby Gordon’s Stadium Super Trucks series, where he posted his first off-road heat win at the historic Los Angeles Coliseum. Luyendyk subsequently tested with Aero Motorsports, and closed the TORC season with respectable 4th- and 6th-place finishes for the team.
 
“I’m really excited to partner with GUNK as I compete in the 2014 TORC season” said Luyendyk. “Since my introduction to off-road last year, I’ve fallen in love with the high-intensity, door-to-door racing that short-course off-road brings.”
 
Luyendyk will utilize GUNK cleaning products for his truck throughout the 2014 season, including the recently released Tough Series, a line of appearance cleaners specifically formulated for trucks and SUVs. A GUNK Tough Series branded truck wash station will be located in his pit area to clean his truck after each race.

TORC: The Off-Road Championship will present 14 races at seven off-road tracks across the United States in 2014, with NBC Sports providing television coverage and a “revealing behind-the-scenes docu-series.” The season kicks off on April 5-6 in Primm, Nev.
