Sebastien Bourdais led the final practice session of the day – held in cool temperatures at night – on Thursday at Daytona International Speedway, where the new TUDOR United SportsCar Championship prepares for the debut of its season with Saturday’s Rolex 24 at Daytona.

Bourdais, piloting the No. 5 Action Express Racing Corvette DP, posted a top lap time of 1:38.964. Bourdais was followed on the final practice speed chart by Michael Valiante (1:39.883) in the No. 90 Spirit of Daytona entry and Max Angelelli (1:39.992) of Wayne Taylor Racing. All three of the top drivers were piloting Corvette DPs.

In the Prototype Challenge class Sam Bird posted the quickest time in his No. 8 Starworks Motorsport entry with a lap of 1:42.632. He was followed on the PC class speed chart by Mark Wilkins (1:43.508) in the No. 54 and Raphael Matos (1:43.983) in the No. 38 Performance Tech Motorsports ORECA FLM09.

The SRT Viper GTS-R of Robert Bell (1:44.992) was quickest in GTLM, followed by the No 97 of Richie Stanaway (1:45.579) in the Aston Martin Racing Vantage V8 and the No. 62 Ferrari F458 Italia piloted by Gianmaria Bruni (1:45.602 ).

Alessandro Pier Guidi of Level 5 Motorsports led the GTD class in his No. 555 Ferrari F458 Italia with a top time of 1:47.259. Pier Guidi was followed on the grid by No. 49 Spirit of Race driver Paolo Ruberti (1:47.423) and Mikhail Aleshin (1:47.823) in the No. 72 SMP/ESM Racing Ferrari 458, making it a to-3 filled with Prancing Horses.
