Leimer to make RoC debut
GP2 champion Fabio Leimer will make his Race of Champions debut in this year's Thailand event.
The Swiss driver claimed three wins and seven podiums en route to this year's GP2 crown, which he secured in the final round.
"I am very excited about this invitation to the 2013 Race of Champions and I would like to say a big thank you to the ROC organizers," Leimer said. "This will be my first time at a ROC event so it will be an honour to be there and I am already looking forward to the duels with the very biggest names in motorsport."
Other 2013 RoC competitors confirmed so far include seven-time Formula 1 champion Michael Schumacher, World Rally champion Sebastien Ogier, World Endurance co-champion Tom Kristensen and five-time 500cc world champion Mick Doohan.
The event takes place in Bangkok on Dec. 14-15.
