Mercedes not disrupted by small fire
Mercedes has confirmed that its engine dyno is back up and running fully, despite a small oil leak fire on Monday night.
The local fire department revealed on its Twitter feed that it had been called to Mercedes' Brixworth, UK engine facility following an incident. A Mercedes spokesman said that the fire was caused by an oil leak, but that the dyno was not damaged and work has not been held up as the facility was running as normal on Tuesday.
Formula 1's engine manufacturers are working flat-out on the development of the 2014 V6 power units, which will hit the track for the first time at Jerez next January.
