Toyota sticks with two-car WEC entry for Bahrain
Toyota will run two cars in the Bahrain World Endurance Championship finale later this month, the Japanese manufacturer has confirmed.
Toyota revealed that it planned to field two TS030 Hybrids at in the final WEC round on Nov. 30 ahead of last weekend's Shanghai round, on the proviso that both cars came through the event without major issue.
The suspension problem that put the No. 8 entry of Anthony Davidson, Sebastien Buemi and Stephane Sarrazin out at Shanghai has not proved to be an obstacle to the car's participation at the Bahrain International Circuit. Kazuki Nakajima, who missed Shanghai because he was on Super Formula duty in Japan, returns to the No. 7 car alongside Nicolas Lapierre and Alex Wurz.
The decision to make two entries at Shanghai and Bahrain was made at the Fuji WEC round in October, an event at which high-ranking Toyota officials were present.
