Sainz excluded for dangerous driving
Carlos Sainz Jr. has been excluded from the first Abu Dhabi GP3 Series race for his part in a clash with Patric Niederhauser.
MW Arden driver Sainz collided with Jenzer racer Niederhauser on the curved straight before Turn 11 on lap five. Sainz spun and continued, finishing the race in ninth place, but Niederhauser was forced out with broken suspension.
Stewards excluded Sainz "for causing a dangerous collision and forcing another driver off track." Sainz loses his two points, and Dino Zamparelli inherits his position, with Robert Visoiu being elevated to 10th.
