MotoGP practice cancelled due to fog

By

MotoGP’s Friday practice sessions at Motegi have all been cancelled due to fog.

A low mist settled over the Japanese Grand Prix venue in the morning, leading to what began as an indefinite delay to the session starting.

The fog was too thick for the medical helicopter to fly safely, and with no change in conditions heading into the afternoon, the decision was taken to abandon the day’s planned running.

MotoGP has yet to announce whether any changes to Saturday’s schedule will be possible to add additional track time.
