Ogier signs up for RoC
World Rally champion Sebastien Ogier has signed up for this year's Race of Champions in Bangkok.
Ogier won the RoC outright at his first attempt in 2011, but went out in the quarter-finals last time. The Frenchman clinched his first WRC title at home last weekend following season-long dominance with his new Volkswagen team.
"This has been a fantastic year for me and I can think of no better way to round it off than the Race Of Champions," said Ogier. "It was amazing to win it on my first visit and of course it is a pleasure to be going back again. It will be especially nice to head to Bangkok with the title of World Rally champion in the bag at last."
The 2013 RoC takes place in Bangkok's Rajamangala Stadium on Dec.14-15.
Le Mans star Tom Kristensen and Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher have also confirmed their participation.
