Race of Champions to stay in Bangkok-613

The Race of Champions will stay in Bangkok for the second year running after organizers confirmed Thailand has secured the hosting of the event again.

Bangkok's Rajamangala Stadium hosted the RoC last year for the first time – taking over from Dusseldorf – and it will do so once more on Dec. 14-15 this year. The event will kick off with the Nations Cup on Dec. 14, followed by the individual Race Of Champions on Dec. 15.

The race will again take place on a paved track with two parallel lanes around the Rajamangala Stadium.

"We are happy that Thailand has seen off strong competition to win the bid to stage both the 2012 and 2013 Race of Champions," said organizer Fredrik Johnsson. "Our debut in the vibrant city of Bangkok went well and we are delighted to have such illustrious partners on board again."
