Delta-ADR loses Le Mans LMP2 podium place
The G-Drive/Delta-ADR team has been excluded from third place in LMP2 in last weekend's Le Mans 24 Hours.
The team's ORECA-Nissan 03 shared by Mike Conway, John Martin and Roman Rusinov, which finished ninth overall, has been disqualified after its fuel tank was found to be over the class maximum of 75 liters.
The decision moves the Greaves Motorsport Zytek-Nissan Z11SN driven by Jann Mardenborough, Michael Krumm and Lucas Ordonez up to third in class behind the two OAK Racing Morgan-Nissan LMP2s.
G-Drive/Delta-ADR has already informed the Automobile Club de l'Ouest, the governing authority at Le Mans, of its intention to appeal.
Team boss Simon Dowson said: "There has been a technical infringement outside the control of the team. There was no advantage gained from that infringement and we will be appealing the decision."
