Moffat retains works Nissan V8 seat

James Moffat has secured a multi-year contract extension with Nissan's factory V8 Supercars effort.

The son of multiple champion Allan Moffat, the 29-year-old joined the new Kelly Racing-run Nissan program this season after two years with Dick Johnson Racing. He has been a regular top-10 finisher and is currently 15th in the championship, second among the Nissan quartet behind Rick Kelly.

"I'm very happy to say that I'm going to be here at Nissan Motorsport for another few years at least, and nice to lock it away relatively early," Moffat said. "I'm looking forward to the future. It has been a massive undertaking for everyone involved to get Nissan Motorsport to where we are at this stage. I feel like the future holds some promising things.

"My intention was always to stay with the team and luckily they felt the same way about me staying here."
