Baltimore GP announces new spectator options

Organizers of the Grand Prix of Baltimore presented by SRT and the management of Kona Grill today announced they will feature a three-day race package that gives fans special access to the restaurant and its prime viewing location along Pratt Street. Membership in the Kona Grill Turn One Club will include three-day top-level reserved seating in Grandstand 3, a three-day paddock pass, and exclusive access to the club, including meal service on Saturday and Sunday of race weekend.

Named for its location along the racetrack’s main straight between the start/finish line and the first turn, the Kona Grill Turn One Club will put fans in the heart of the racing action. Turn One is where much of the passing takes place on the Grand Prix of Baltimore circuit, and club members will be in prime position to witness it all.

“The Kona Grill Turn One Club is an ideal venue for race-goers,” said Grand Prix of Baltimore General Manager Tim Mayer. “Kona Grill is an exceptional restaurant that is located along one of the racecourse’s most dynamic stretches. With access to top-level seating in Grandstand 3, club members will experience the thrill of seeing drivers go from full throttle down Pratt Street and then shift into agility mode as they navigate the first hard-right turn and attempt to move to the front of the pack.”

“We’re pleased to offer fans an exciting new way to experience the Grand Prix of Baltimore,” said Tommy Przybylski, Kona Grill General Manager. “This is a unique event that draws people from throughout the region and the country to Baltimore, and we’re looking forward to providing our guests with a world-class experience complete with a generous selection of Kona Grill favorites.”

Club membership is priced at $275 for adults and $225 for children 12 years of age or younger. In addition to a three-day premium reserved seat in Grandstand 3 and a three-day pass to the IZOD IndyCar Series paddock, club members will enjoy one seating for food and soft drinks on both Saturday and Sunday as well as two alcoholic beverages for adults on Saturday and two on Sunday.

The third annual Grand Prix of Baltimore presented by SRT will feature the IZOD IndyCar Series and the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patron. The Grand Prix’s races are held on a 12-turn, two-mile course through downtown Baltimore, adjacent to the famed Inner Harbor. The 2013 Grand Prix of Baltimore presented by SRT will take place Labor Day weekend, Aug. 30 to Sept. 1. For more information,  visit
