Wet start for Formula E in NYC

Formula E's historic debut in New York City got off to a damp start, with heavy rain hitting Friday's "shakedown" runs on the new Brooklyn ePrix circuit. Take a ride with Dragon Racing's Jerome D'Ambrosio to see just how wet it was...

And here's Stephane Sarrazin dealing with something New York commuters can sympathize with...

The event is a doubleheader, with Saturday's official practice set for 8:00 a.m. ahead of qualifying at noon and Race 1 following immediately at 12:45 p.m. (all ET). Sunday's race is set for 1 p.m. local time with just a single practice session, which starts at 7 a.m. This means the teams have even less time than usual to prepare and repair the cars. Get involved in a big accident on Saturday and you’ll really be on the back foot for Sunday.

Also, Sunday’s race is six laps longer than Saturday’s, which means that preserving and regenerating energy is going to be at a premium. Should make for an interesting weekend...
