NASCAR has handed down two penalties following last weekend’s Xfinity and Monster Energy Cup Series action at Pocono Raceway.

The first, a safety penalty under sections “Tires and Wheels”, was issued to Billy Scott of the No. 41 Stewart-Haas Racing team. Scott has been fined $10,000 for one unsecured lug nut on the car post-race.

Scott is the crew chief for Daniel Suarez who finished eighth Sunday afternoon in the Pocono 400, his fifth top-10 finish of the season.

The other penalty was issued to John J. Graybeal who has been indefinitely suspended for violations of sections 12.1.a, 12.8.1.e, and 19.3.1.d.

Those three sections are headlined, “General Procedure”, “Member Conduct Guidelines”, and “Prohibited Substances”.

NASCAR did not list which team Graybeal is associated with.
