The ever-unpredictable May weather in Indianapolis threw a wrench into NBC Sports’ coverage plans for Indianapolis 500 qualifying. Rain turned the three-hour block on NBC Sunday afternoon into an interview and highlights show rather than a live qualifying report, but it still managed a 0.66 rating and averaged 997,000 households. That’s down from a 0.89/1.3m for last year’s final qualifying on ABC.

The actual last row shootout and run for the pole played out later in the day on NBCSN, and scored a 0.31/503,000.

NASCAR’s All-Star Race in Charlotte on FS1 scored a 1.40/2.4m on Saturday night, compared to last year’s 1.49/2.5m on the same network.

The NASCAR Truck Series race from Charlotte on Friday night scored a 0.33/559,000.

The NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing finals from Richmond scored a 0.19/310,000 Sunday night on FS1.
